Adore Touch Installation

Before you begin

Do not ship, drop, or store boxes on sides or ends.
Check that product is labeled with the same batch and lot numbers.
Installation area must be weather tight, fully enclosed, clean, and well lighted.
Install flooring after all other construction is completed (especially overhead work).

Allow flooring to acclimate to room temperature for a minimum of 48 hours prior to installation.

Set heating/air conditioning system to minimum 18°C (65°F) 48 hours prior to, during, and after installation. Maintain minimum temperature of 13°C (55°F) thereafter.

Subfloor preparation

The appearance and performance of the floor covering is determined, in part, by the condition of the subfloor. Subfloors must be rigid, smooth, flat, level, and permanently dry.

Flooring should not be exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. Extended exposure may result in discoloration and excessive temperatures that may cause expansion of the flooring. The use of window coverings is recommended during peak sunlight exposure.

Concrete floors

Concrete must have a minimum compressive strength of 3000 psi.
Radiant heated subfloors should not exceed 28°C (84°F).
Imperfections such as chips, spalls, and cracks greater than 6.35 mm (.25 inches) should be repaired using a Portland-based patching compound only.

Moisture testing

A moisture test must be conducted on any concrete floor regardless of age or grade level.
In-situ relative humidity test results (ASTM F-2170), must not exceed 85 percent relative humidity.
Any potential warranty claim would require pre-installation moisture test results.
